My Honest Experience Using MailerLite as a Beginner-Friendly Business Platform

An honest look at MailerLite's features, ease of use, pricing, and whether it's a good fit for beginners building an online business.

When I first started trying to build an online business, one of the biggest things I struggled with was finding tools that felt simple enough to actually use consistently.

There are so many platforms out there promising to help you build a website, grow an email list, create landing pages, and manage your business, but honestly? A lot of them felt overwhelming to me.

And I say that as someone who considers myself fairly tech-savvy.

Before using MailerLite, I had experience trying to work with WordPress because it’s one of the most recommended website platforms online. While I understand why so many people use it, I personally found it overwhelming. Between plugins, themes, hosting, updates, customization, and all the technical setup involved, it quickly started to feel like I was spending more time trying to figure out the platform than actually building my business.

I personally enjoy it because it helped make online business feel less overwhelming for me as a beginner.

That experience made me realize something important:

Just because a platform is powerful does not mean it’s beginner-friendly.

That’s one of the reasons I genuinely enjoy using MailerLite.

What originally attracted me to MailerLite was the fact that it combines several tools in one place. I liked that I could create newsletters, landing pages, forms, and a website without needing a bunch of separate platforms connected.

For someone trying to keep things simple, that was a huge plus for me.

Another thing I’ve really appreciated recently is the way they updated the branding and design customization options for websites and pages. Keeping your branding consistent across your blog, email newsletters, landing pages, and social media matters more than people realize, especially when you’re trying to build trust online.

I like that MailerLite has made that process feel cleaner and more connected.

Now, I do want to be honest because no platform is perfect.

Even though I find MailerLite much simpler than WordPress, building your own website can still become technical at times. If someone is completely new to online business or not very comfortable with technology, there may still be moments where things feel confusing or frustrating.

That said, one thing I genuinely appreciate is their customer support.

Any time I’ve needed help, their support team has been responsive and helpful, which makes a huge difference when you’re trying to troubleshoot something on your own.

I also think their pricing is reasonable for what you get.

Having your newsletters, website, landing pages, and email marketing tools all together can save both money and stress compared to paying for multiple separate platforms.

And yes, they do have an affiliate program that I’m part of, where affiliates can earn a recurring commission. But honestly, I would not recommend a platform I didn’t actually enjoy using myself.

I think that matters.

Another thing I appreciate about MailerLite’s affiliate program is the 45-day cookie window. I think that’s especially beginner-friendly because not everyone purchases immediately after clicking a link. Sometimes people need time to research, compare platforms, or think things over before signing up.

🧠 Behind the scenes, most people are NOT ignoring your content, they’re thinking, researching, comparing, and building trust before making a decision. If you’ve ever wondered why people don’t buy immediately online and what psychology has to do with affiliate marketing, read this next:

There are too many people online promoting products purely for commissions without genuinely using them, and I never want my content to feel that way.

I recommend MailerLite because it helped simplify things for me during a time when I was feeling overwhelmed trying to build online.

And for beginners or busy moms especially, simplicity matters.

You do not need the most advanced platform in the world to get started.
You need something you can actually use consistently without burning yourself out trying to learn ten complicated systems at once.

For me, MailerLite has been a much more manageable and beginner-friendly experience overall, and it’s a platform I genuinely enjoy using as I continue growing my online business.

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed trying to figure out websites, email marketing, and online business tools, MailerLite may be worth exploring, especially if you want something cleaner and more beginner-friendly than some of the more technical platforms out there.
